Worker’s Compensation & Welfare Service (Seoul Southern Branch) Cafeteria Review: Affordable Lunch in Yeongdeungpo-gu

Hello everyone! Welcome to another review. As May begins, I hope you’re all having a wonderful start to the month. May, the queen of seasons, I hope your days are filled with amazing things. Remember what Michael Jordan said: “Never say never, because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.” Instead of saying “I can’t,” let’s say “I can!” Let’s empower each other with stories of achieving the impossible.

Today, we’re heading over to the Worker’s Compensation & Welfare Service (근로자 복지 공단) building. Before we dive in, please subscribe and like this content! Our goal is to reach 1 million subscribers by December 2026. Today, we are going to review Worker’s Compensation & Welfare Service Seoul Southern Branch cafeteria.

Location and Accessibility

The Worker’s Compensation & Welfare Service Seoul Southern Branch is located at 8, Beodeunaro 2-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It’s about an 8-10 minute walk from Singil Station (신길역). I actually walked from Yeouido, crossing a pedestrian bridge to get there. I met an acquaintance at Singil Station who guided me. It’s right next to the restaurant in the basement of Heungkuk Life Insurance building, which we visited last time, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find. Exiting from Exit 3 of Line 5 might be the easiest way to get there.

Inside the Cafeteria

Today, I’m taking you inside the Worker’s Compensation & Welfare Service Seoul Southern Branch cafeteria. You can have lunch here on weekdays, with a choice between the regular 백반 (baekban – Korean set meal) and 일품 (ilpum – one-dish meal) options. Choose whatever suits your taste!

Many of my subscribers and viewers have requested a review, so here we are. On the first floor, there’s a spacious coffee shop where you can enjoy coffee at an affordable price after your meal.

Down on the B1 floor, you’ll find a kiosk system on the left. Check the menu, make your payment, and then enjoy your meal. The daily menu is displayed at the entrance. Today, they have Dakdoritang (닭볶음탕 – braised spicy chicken stew) and Curry Rice (카레라이스).

There are A and B corners. It wasn’t working for me, so I needed the help of a lovely nutritionist to complete the payment. After checking the receipt, you insert it in the indicated spot. If you need help, don’t hesitate to ask the nutritionist. The meal costs 6,500 won, and I must have been distracted. She said it costs 6,500 won and thanked me. The nutritionist was very helpful in assisting with my payment, so don’t be afraid to ask if you need help. The menu display lets you easily choose what you want. That is very convenient. Once you enter, return your tray in the designated area. After selecting from A or B, grab a tray and get your food.

The Dining Experience

It’s open. The cafeteria is spacious, so there shouldn’t be any problem finding a comfortable place to eat. I chose the Korean set meal, and my friend went with the one-dish meal. Let’s take a look!

The main dish today is Dakdoritang. It looks delicious, so I hope you enjoy your meal!

At the salad bar, you can also make bibimbap. There are seasoned bean sprouts, radish salad, and seasoned seaweed flakes. If you want to mix it with rice, you can get some from the bibimbap corner, and use the other side dishes. There is also a salad with a lot of vegetables, so you can eat as much salad as you want.

And it doesn’t end there! There’s also a wellness corner. Over there, you’ll find plum tea and 숭늉 (sungnyung – scorched rice water), perfect for a refreshing after-meal drink. For 6,500 won, this is pretty fantastic! We’re reviewing the Worker’s Compensation & Welfare Service Seoul Southern Branch cafeteria, which offers a variety of menu options for an affordable price.

It’s very clean and well-maintained. They also operate a ramen station during breakfast hours, from 8 AM to 10 AM. There are instructions on how to use the instant ramen machine, so please refer to them if you’re interested. The cafeteria is spacious and well-organized.

Many people are starting to come in for lunch. I hope everyone enjoys their meal and feels energized for the start of May! Enjoy your meal! As lunch hour progresses, more and more people fill up the seats and have their meals. Prices are rising and times are tough, but I hope a hearty meal like this will help you face the challenges and have a comfortable May. On the first floor, there’s also a coffee shop that offers great value for money. Take some time to have a cup of coffee there.

Thank you for always watching. I’ll be back with more reviews soon. Don’t forget to subscribe and like! See you again!
