Unveiling Yeouido’s Best Kept Secret: KT Tower’s Affordable and Delicious Cafeteria
Hello everyone! Welcome to our channel. I hope you’re having a wonderful day. As we brace ourselves for the upcoming summer heat, let’s take a culinary journey to Yeouido, specifically to KT Hope Tower (KT Tower), where a surprising and budget-friendly dining experience awaits. Get ready to explore one of Yeouido’s hidden gems!
Finding the Food Oasis: Location and Accessibility
Located at 14 Yeouidaero, Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, the KT Tower cafeteria is easily accessible from Yeouido Station (Exit 1). It’s approximately a 520-meter walk, roughly 8 minutes, straight from the exit. During lunchtime, you’ll find many office workers heading there for a quick and affordable meal.
Google Search Assessment:
A quick Google search of “KT Tower Yeouido” reveals the building is a prominent landmark in the area, easily identifiable on maps. Reviews for the surrounding area often mention the various dining options, and while the cafeteria itself might not be explicitly highlighted, the general consensus suggests a bustling business district with diverse food choices. To confirm the continued existence of the cafeteria and any updated information (like operating hours), I’d recommend searching specifically for “KT Tower cafeteria Yeouido” or related terms like “KT Tower employee cafeteria public access”.
Search terms like “KT Tower Yeouido restaurants” will also show nearby restaurants, and allow the searcher to compare the prices and options. This can help to emphasize how affordable the cafeteria truly is.
Directions: Upon exiting Yeouido Station (Exit 1), simply walk straight. You’ll pass Gwangjang Apartment. Turn right, and you’ll see Hana Daetoo Securities on your right and Jeonggyeongwon Haegwan on your left. Inside that area, you’ll find KT Tower, our destination for today. Finding it is quite straightforward!
Entering the Culinary Haven: KT Tower B1 Cafeteria
Our star today, the KT Tower cafeteria, resides on the B1 floor. You can enjoy a comfortable dining experience there. Upon reaching the B1 level, you’ll see the cafeteria. During the pandemic, access for non-employees was restricted. However, it has recently reopened to the public, welcoming visitors to enjoy its offerings.
I took the stairs down to the B1 level. Entry is permitted from 11:40 AM onwards, so please keep this in mind when planning your visit.
Navigating the System: Kiosk and Payment
You’ll need to use the kiosk system to make your payment amongst a crowd of hungry patrons. A single meal costs ₩6,500. In Yeouido, where lunch prices can be quite high, ₩6,500 is an incredibly affordable price. It’s fantastic value for money! You can enjoy a delicious and affordable lunch at the KT Tower cafeteria. Visitors can enter from 11:40 AM, so plan accordingly.
A Glimpse at the Menu: A Wholesome and Delicious Spread
A weekly menu board is displayed. On the day of my visit, the menu featured Don Satae Kimchi Jjim (braised pork rib kimchi stew), Gyeran Bap (egg rice), Dangmyeon Mari (glass noodle rolls), Eomuk Twigim (fish cake fritters), Deulgireum Makguksu (perilla oil buckwheat noodles), and Kkakdugi (radish kimchi). It was a delightful and satisfying meal!
A sign clearly indicates that entry is permitted from 11:40 AM. Arriving earlier won’t grant you access. Arrive promptly at 11:40 AM to avoid any delays.
The Affordability Factor: A Rare Find in Yeouido
Finding a ₩6,500 lunch in Yeouido is a rarity. Some of you might have already experienced this cafeteria, while others might be unaware of its existence. I highly recommend visiting and trying it out. With rising lunch prices, saving even a small amount can make a difference in the long run. Every penny saved contributes to a larger goal.
The Feast Begins: A Delectable Variety of Flavors
I assembled a tray filled with the delicious offerings. The kimchi stew was flavorful, and the glass noodle rolls and fish cake fritters were enjoyable. The egg rice was also quite good. The flavors were excellent, and the meal seemed nutritious. The radish kimchi was a welcome addition, although the seaweed soup didn’t quite match my personal preferences.
The glass noodle rolls and fish cake fritters were standouts. However, the perilla oil buckwheat noodles were the real surprise. The flavor was exceptional, and the crunchy radish kimchi complemented it perfectly. It was a truly satisfying meal.
The Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodles: A Revelation
I’m a huge fan of buckwheat noodles, and the perilla oil version was incredibly delicious. The rich aroma of perilla oil filled my mouth with each bite. It’s astonishing how they could achieve such flavor at such an affordable price. It was a truly memorable lunch.
If I had known how delicious the perilla oil buckwheat noodles were, I would have taken a larger portion! The lunch prices around Yeouido are quite high, so the ₩6,500 lunch at KT Tower offers exceptional value. Keep this in mind when choosing your lunch spot.
The Lunchtime Rush: A Popular Destination
Even shortly after 12:00 PM, many people were already enjoying their meals. It’s a testament to the cafeteria’s popularity and appeal.
Fill your plates with generous portions, savor the flavors, and have a wonderful time. Embrace the opportunity to enjoy an affordable and tasty meal.
Words of Wisdom: A Reminder of Gradual Growth
Seneca once said, “Truly great things are achieved slowly and gradually, growing imperceptibly over a long period.” This reminds us that our endeavors, even those that seem small or insignificant, contribute to something larger over time. While the slow and steady progress might be frustrating or discouraging at times, the ultimate outcome will be magnificent.
Thank you for joining me on this culinary adventure! I’m always grateful for your support. Stay tuned for more exciting discoveries. Thank you all! H
